If Spanish-speaking people didn't learn English, the world would be different. I think that are the two languages more speaking in modern world are Spanish and English but English is more used for bussines.
This forces to a certain extent that English is like a universal language and all people have to learn English, including Spanish speakers. If this were not so, it would be much more difficult to travel and do business around the world.
In contrast to other more hermetic countries like Russia, if you travel you have to speak Russian, English is not worth much. This is a clear disadvantage.
In my case, speaking English allows me to travel through Europe and America. Without knowing English I couldn't do it easily.
In conclusion, we can deduce that knowing English helps us to travel or do business throughout the open world.
